If you are of an active nature and enjoy the outdoors then this is an excellent area to stay.
In the immediate vicinity there are miles of beautiful country lanes , green lanes ,bridleways and footpaths to enjoy walking along .
There are also over two hundred acres of woodland with public access , along miles of grassy rides ,within two miles of Denbury.
There is also access to the ancient scheduled monument that is 'Denbury Down'  , an iron age hill fort that is reputed to be the seat of the ancient Devon kings.
It is a great area for dog walking and horse riding.
Ramblers will find this a great base for daily outings on Dartmoor, along the rivers Dart , Teign or the Bovey, as will birdwatchers ,with the local bird watching  havens of Stover Park and  Dawlish Warren within  striking distance .
Nature lovers and wildlife enthusiasts will have a good chance of spotting many of native mammals in this area including Roe deer which regularly appear in the fields around our house , and the courtyard which is a haven for visiting wild birds which come to our feeders
